Hey, believe it or not, I got this message on the Classic RVs group I belong to. Not sure where these engines are located, but judging from the area code, I'd say it's somewhere in eastern/northeastern Ontario. Just in case anyone's interested. If we had some spare cash, I know we would be.......

Hey everyone!

Now, I know this isn't really RV related but these engines could be used
in an rv I think... A friend of mine recently decided it was time to thin
out his collection of dodge engines. He has about 20 340 engines, 2 of which
are currently rebuilt and ready to drop in!

The first engine, a 1970 340, is painted blue, has a 4-barrel intake, is
fully rebuilt and is ready to drop in!

the second engine is a 1972 340, painted orange, 4-barrel intake, is fully
rebuilt and is looking for a new home!

as for the non-rebuilt engines, there are about 18 I believe, all in
various stages of teardown. Most of these are 1970-73 but some of them are
slightly older.

Now, if anyone is interested, I believe the rebuilt ones are $3500 each
and the non-rebuilt ones are $1500-2000 depending(I will have to double check
that price as I am not entirely sure). This guy also has various other
items available, things like brackets, bumpers, trans, rear ends, etc...

If anyone is interested, please email me at amc19812002@ yahoo.ca or call
my cell at 613 818 5075 anytime. thanks for looking!

That's a whole bunch of 340s. Of course, unless you're doing a restoration or a stroker engine, the 360 is the wiser choice.

$1500 for a core engine is insane, 340 or not. I'm glad I've got about $200 tied up in two ready-to-build 340 blocks after selling parts off the engines and having them sleeved.

Beyond my two 340s, I'll just keep on picking up 360s for $50-$100 each.

It sounds like someone's trying to retire... he should have done this several years ago, when prices were premium. A core 340 is worth about $400-$500 these days.
