Well I stumbled onto this, I went to look at that studebaker V8 lark I was talking about on lawfish's post about studebakers.

Today I was talking to the collector that was selling a jeep the studebaker, fyi he wants 2K for the studebaker, it was parked next to a one owner 65 barracuda ( his wifes ) I tell him I am more interested in dodges and he pulls the tarp back on one of thies

It will need paint ( and leather ) but it is in good driving condition It has been stored I could not find any rust except a very little surface. Even the seats are nice it is showing less than 40K and he swears it has not turned over.

Tires are a little dry rotted? What is the world would this be worth? he wants 9500.00 He will finace 0% interest...

My guess is if that is orig miles and it is in as good of shape as you say the $9500 price tag is a real steal!!! That is a piece of automotive history right there and I'm sure a "collector" would have it put in a private meuseum or something...unless Jay Leno gets ahold of it :D

I did more research and I found this on ebay 200009581030 the one I found is in better shape but they will both take about the same (new paint and leather) to get it into shows and darn this is cheap.(for now)

Dopamean strongly sugested I not get this as it is not on my 5 year plan, she points out I need a place to live and newer driver before I pay 9.5K get a pure toy..

Its a cool looking truck, but you really do need a house to work on it in.
There will be more.
If you really want to find a cool project, come down to the Barrett Jackson next time its around, I was looking at the sale prices for some of the unrestored stuff on there, and they were giving it away.

Hope to hang out with you at Barrett Jackson again, the cool part of that car was he would put it on layaway until the house deal it done....

There used to be the truck version of one of those over in Arvada at a place called Ajax automotive. Cool find.
