2020 holiday (Black Friday) specials

The automotive and restoration sales/coupon codes are startin' to roll into my inbox, so I'll post any decent ones in this thread. I'll be updating as new ones appear during the week, and include any time limitations with them. I'll only post codes from businesses with whom I've actually dealt and had good results, rather than every link that lands in my inbox.

So, without further ado...

Starting with a Canuck joint for all you north-of-the-border types, we have PG Classic. Sales code "SAVE25" gets you that percent discount. "3 Days Only" but doesn't specify the days; it came today and appears to be good through the 23rd. The e-mail also said, "From November 27 - 30 PG Classic's Deal Center will be open where you can find hundreds of select items on discount for up to 40% off!" so there's that. I've never had a problem with PG, but shipping can be a bit dear for US customers (although generally lower than I've expected).

Next up is, of course, Year One--where every third day is Black Friday. Sales code "FINDIT" nets you 30% off until midnight Monday, which helps to offset their truly atrocious shipping. Best bet here is to call and use this "internet order only" code, then complain about the shipping price being too high. They'll lower it if you threaten to cancel; it's a trick as old as Year One itself. Shipping costs aside, they still have some of the best customer service in the industry.

Not so much for specific auto parts, but sort of a mini-Grainger without the exoribant pricing, Zoro has become a good resource for me. Their site is a tad clunky but far more useful than Year One's (the worst-case scenario). Spend some time and you'll get a feel for just how much they've got to offer. I've bought everything from concrete anchors to boost-control valves to power tools from them, and their customer care is exceptional. (they shipped me a 65lb, $1,000 Wilton vise Next Day Air because UPS managed to break the first one--at no charge to me). Right now they've got Metabo, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch and Williams tools on sale through December 31st, as well as items by Crescent/JOBOX. No sales code necessary, orders over $75 always ship for free (at least in the US), and they ship quickly. Get on their mailing list for sales, and a couple of times a month you'll get a 20-30% off coupon code good for one order, usually with max value way beyond what you're planning to spend--highest one I've seen was "maximum savings of $4,000" which would've been on a $16,000 order. Their clearance items are often insanely cheap, too--they had a 385,000 BTU Dayton gas unit heater (think Modine) on sale this summer for around $450 with free shipping.

There will be more; I got a "threatening" e-mail from Racetronix today too (reasonalbly-price high-perf fuel system parts).

Feel free to respond with any worthy codes or sales you might happen to get.

I got an e-mail directly from Holley regarding HolleyDays, with a "Get them while they're here"-type tone to it. There was no particular link or sales code, so I didn't include it here.

Funny thing... Holley doesn't usually extend their sale pricing to their distributors, now that Holley sells direct to the public. With the extra money they make by cutting out the middleman and selling at the same MAP pricing, you'd think they could afford better, or at least more, tech support personnel. Holley tech has been useless for decades... warm bodies (sometimes) answering a phone and not much more.

DIYAutoTune (build/install/configure your own EFI, fuel delivery, and ignition systems) 10% off sitewide, use code BF2020. I bought my ECU parts mostly from these guys; they're a very knowledgeable, helpful bunch. Valid through 11/30/20.

AutoBody Toolmart no specific codes, but up to 70% off various items related to what you'd expect from the name. Huge selection, good service. Link takes you directly to the sale; no expiration stated in the e-mail.

Parts Express isn't directly auto-related, they're more of an electronics/audio source (it's where I got the drivers for my custom dash speaker). Another one of those sites where you sort of need to browse awhile to see what kinds of things they offer. PX also did not give an expiration beyond saying "limited time" (no shit) on code TURKEY10.

ECS Automotive Concepts sells premium-quality restoration decals, exhaust and other miscellany. They're offering 15% off sitewide (no code necessary) "Black Friday & Cyber Monday" although the pricing seems to be active already. It figures; I ordered a couple hundred bucks' worth for the Challenger a few months back. 😑

YearOne sent me a redundant Thanksgiving 30% off, code TRKYDAY, because apparently I'd forgotten about the above link. I guess the nice thing is that if you forget something, you can use one code for the order you mess up, and the other to still get the 30% on whatever you forgot.

PGClassic (linked above) code for the shopping weekend is BLACKFRIDAY20 and lasts from today through December first. Does not apply to items in their "Deal Center" and minimum purchase is $129 which I believe is USD.

Racetronix (also linked above) finally dropped their code, not surprisingly BLKFRI, good for "up to 30%" (I hate that "up to" crap) from November 26 - December 6. Racetronix is a good source of small parts, such as -AN fittings/hose, wiring and installation bits for EFI, and more. Further down the e-mail they were a bit more specific:

Save 10% on fuel pumps/systems & line kits, pump modules & hangers *
Save 12-15% on adapters, hose & fittings.
Save 25% on catch cans, tanks, cells & accessories.

* The coupon code may not work on some kits so please e-mail sales@racetronix.com or call 905-477-7014 to complete your discounted purchase.
Save an additional 10% or more when purchasing quantities of the same fitting/adapter (10+) or hose type (50'+).

Unbelievably, Year One has sent yet another code for 30% off; this time it's BF20. Good through Sunday night. I've got ten American dollars that says I'll get a 30% off Cyber Monday code sometime Sunday. 😄

Well, that's weird. Performance Improvement, mentioned above, waited until Black Friday to advertise their Black Friday sales. Bizarre...I mean everyone else starts advertising in July...

Edit: I guess they started advertising on Wednesday, but it just hit my inbox today. NEVER MIND.
