I went in '04 when Judas Priest was co-headlining and yeah THAT was huge! The DTE Energy Theatre was packed!! Wish I could afford the trip this year. :(

That and my gf is taking me to see lamb of god on the 16th of march... looks like i got some free concerts comin up :)

As cool as this sounds, What Sharon Osbourne has just done is slit the throats of anyone else who might have wanted to tour to make money this summer.

Being that no-one pays for recorded music anymore, the only way to make money these days is to play live and sell merch at the shows. That's the real reason that ticket prices have gone up so much. As music royalty revenues shrunk, the cost of seeing an artist play live rose at roughly the same pace. It's unfortunately also the reason that most new recording contracts include the record companies getting a big piece of the merch/concert revenue.

People need to lose this attitude that they are entitled to be entertained for free.

Mind you, these days that's likely all Ozzy is really worth.

Ozzy has his bajillions of dollars, so it don't much matter to him. But if you think there isn't something in this for him & his frankenwife - you are kidding yourself.

Seen Lamb of God twice and they flat out KICK ASS!!!!! You're in for a killer show Jr.!!! I'm jealous!!! :D
