There, fixed that for you..

I think I like this section.

A bit of trivia;

Because the Neon was based on the "P" chassis, (yea, they made it that far into the alphabet) and these are much taller than Neons, during early construction they were referred to as P Tall. And eventually just referred to as PT. Then someone in marketing added the "Cruiser". :huh:

Huh, I learn something new every day around here. What were the N and O platforms?
th

I think the neon got a bad rap.. they were a light, chuckable crapbox. They weren't trying to be anything else. Also, they were pretty easy to modify and make faster.

There was no N-body. The 1996-2000 minivans were NS and the 2005-'11 Dakota were ND-bodies (kind of funny, actually). That's as close as they got. The Neon was actually a PL-body, as the P-body was the Sundance/Shadow twins. The '13-up Dart is the PF chassis and the Caliber/Compass/Patriot triplets are built on the PM platform. The Prowler was the PR.

As is the practice with Chrysler VIN numbers, the letters O and I were never used in body designations to avoid confusion with the numerals 0 and 1. The Dodge Ram had a "D1" chassis designation for the "Heavy Duty" versions of the truck built between '02 and '08, but to my knowledge that's the only time a numeral appeared in a platform name.
