anybody know what the major problems with these are? Looking at one today v6 manual 5 speed.
Not a fan of the 6, but it will be decent on gas. Is the v6 a good engine besides being handicapped (missing 2 cylinders)

Can't say what the milage will be in your truck since from what I hear the third generation Dakotas are heavier than the first and second generation Dakotas. After modifying mine a bit, I've been hitting 23 to 24 mpg on the highway and 22 in the city. But mines a second gen. The manual helps too. The six can give you good power (for a handicaped motor) if you give it some breathing room. Thats just my take on it. I say take a test drive (if you can) and see if you like it. If you don't, no harm done.

ya i went and took it for a test drive, it seems alright. 3:21? (i know its not the 3:55) axle ratio with a 5 speed. Seemed pretty decent for a v6.
