Presented here is one of the lowest mile Prowlers for sale in the US. This example is in like new condition, having spent its days protected and covered in climate controlled storage.
Finished in the best color choice of Prowler Purple Metallic, this one is a stunner. The front bumpers have been removed for styling purposes and a modification kit used to move the front turn signals from the bumpers next to the hood. The original bumpers will still go with the car and can be easily refitted by the next owner. As you can see, those chrome wheels are not stock but do increase the style of the car nicely. Given that this '99 has never seen rain and not more than a couple days’ worth of sun, the black convertible top is likewise as new. The black leather interior is in perfect shape and all the gauges and dials work as they should.
The '99 Prowler was equipped with the second generation Chrysler 3.5 liter SOHC 24 Valve V6 motor. This was a substantial performance upgrade over prior Prowler engine, increasing the HP from just 214 to 253. 0 to 62MPH time also improved dramatically from 7.2 seconds to 5.9 seconds. Thanks to the stronger power plant, the electronically limited top speed was allowed to push from 118 to 126. The 4 speed automatic transmission is a good performance fit to the motor, shifting through the gears seamlessly. It also has an Autostick manual shift feature for those of you that enjoy staying busy while you drive. With a weight of just 2,800 lb., this 165" long sports car moves out quickly and is a blast to handle. It is also good to know, as you’re tearing down the parkway, that those tires are not the original 13 year old rubber. New Goodyear Eagles were installed approximately 6 years ago and they only have a few hundred miles on them. So go ahead and mash the pedal to the floor. Remember however that this is meant to be more of a sports car experience than a GT cruiser. With the top down the wind and noise are not subtle but then again, nothing about a Prowler is supposed to be subtle, is it?
If you have been searching for a low mile Prowler you know there is always a selection available. What you rarely come across is one with under 1,000 miles and available in the mid 30's price range. If your budget is $30,000, then you will find many to pick from with 10,000 - 25,000 miles on the odometer. Or, for $35,900………………….you can buy this like new one!
