what about the bronco's, jeeps, rc's, k5's ...arguably they are unit bodys in the fact the cab and bed are all one part...and someones going to say but its a folding soft top...jeepsteer hello!?!?!?

They're not classified as trucks, for one thing... they're classified as station wagons by both manufacturer and most states. They don't have a separate cargo area. Avalance? Truck. Suburban? Station wagon.
