1984 Chrysler 5th Avenue

Dr.Jass

Pastor of Muppets
1984 Chrysler Fifth Ave, 318 auto (duh). 117,000 miles on original engine/trans. Ice-cold air (the original R12 is still in it!), cruise, tilt, leather, power everything. Gold exterior, mostly-nice beige & brown interior (perfect leather seats!).

Upgrades include:
  • > 3.21-geared 8¼" axle (open diff)
    > Re-arched springs with new 2nd leaf on both sides
    > Lean Burn eliminated with standard Chrysler electronic (w/vacuum)
    > Fresh tune up (plugs, wires, cap/rotor)
    > Edelbrock Performer intake
    > Rebuilt 800CFM ThermoQuad carb (from a 1974 440)
    > The tires only have about 6,000 miles on them
Problems:
  • > The car currently has a blue 1985 Gran Fury front fascia and trunk lid; I never got around to painting them to match
    > It needs a driver's fender (it's dented; maybe repairable)
    > It needs exhaust. Though it's livable as-is, it growls
    > It should be aligned, though it drives OK as-is
    > One of the valve-cover gaskets leaks and needs replacing
    > It has the typical Fifth Avenue interior damage: the cloth is pulling away from the garnish mouldings
This is literally a drive-home machine; I wouldn't hesitate to take it cross-country if the need arose. The wheels pictured are not on the car any longer; it has plain 15x6 steelies with early-'70s factory wire-wheel covers.

$550 firm. Reply or PM if interested; car is located in ZIP code 49802 (Kingsford, MI) if you want to figure out distances on MapQuest or similar.

I can get more (larger) pictures if anyone wants them; PM me an e-mail address so I don't waste XL's server space.

Damn man wish i didn't live so far away, and just had too put 400 in the damn bronco!! I'd have that car i had an 83 new yoker and loved it!!

I now have a clean, signed title for this car, and have installed new plugs, a new muffler, and a new tailpipe. I've also done some fine-tuning of the carb. It now fires immediately and runs great. This was Lumpy's daily driver for about a year and was reliable as a stone ax.

$550 firm. Fly in, drive home.

This gem of a vehicle was sold to board member demon_night (at a discount). Thanks, dood... you've helped keep the gendarmes off my butt this spring. [smilie=e:
