1982 Renault LeCar.

I know of another LeCar, so that makes 2 of them that still exists. :bwuhaha:

actualy they are saught after in the mini/micro car world ./..and considering its low mile and CHERRY i wouldnt be suprised if he gets full asking price ...it would make a colector of such cars quite happy given its condition

personaly i always wanted a 2dr to go a lil crazy with

They weren't all a joke. The European Renault 5 (it was only called "LeCar" in North America) Turbos were apparently quite fast little machines and made damned-fine rally and road-race cars.

No, there's nothing on this car that is aftermarket except probably the tires. The wheels, flares, and spoilers are all showroom-stock items. I'd drive this!

My high school chemistry teacher had a LeCar. He was 6' 5" easily. Probably more. He, and his three daughters, all 6' + would come to school in it and unfold themselves from the car.

$1100 for that car, in that condition, is a steal. If you're into them, that is...
I'm not, but like 69.5r said, they're sought after by the small-car crowd.

They're neat to drive, definately French. Like Puegot and Citroen, they're not like anything made on this side of the pond and that's not really a bad thing.

I don't think I've ever seen one in a four door configuration.

ive actualy seen that same car listed last year ..for double..the micro cominuity was going crazy over it but cause its north ofthe boarder..no one wanted to pay the crossing boarder fees at the 2500$ it was at...this time round im sure it will sell

and doc those rens are badass..the perfect example that we as mericans have no biz making a small car......some of those actualy had an "offset" rear suspension ..meaning 1 wheel sat further back by 4-6 inches due to the torsion bar suspension...in the same layout youd see on some modern trailers

I worked on a GTA a few years back, probably 10-12. That was a neat little car, just couldn't find parts for it anywhere down here.
