On a continent loaded with well designed, and thought out small cars, somebody woke up one morning and said "I want to drive a fishbowl!" "I want to go slower, and look dumber than everybody else". She coulda had a two year old BMW 2002, a 320I, a Fiat 128, an Alfa Sud, or god know what else.. She opted for the computer controlled carburetor.

This is an exact copy of the one I looked at back in '91 that was equipped with either a 360 or a 401. It looked stock right down to the air cleaner, and for a long time I thought maybe it was. My girlfriend at the time was absolutely in love with the car, and wanted me to buy it. I loved the sleeper angle, but nobody loves a sleeper that much. :D

Pretty sure there's no computer controls here. Maybe a bowl-vent solenoid and a choke heater wiring, but feedback? In '78? On an AMC, no less?

...a Fiat 128, an Alfa Sud...
She probably had a job where she was expected to both be present, and do so on time. :D

I guess you're right.. I always associate AMC with Chrysler, and while Chrysler might have had that crap, AMC didn't necessarily. It was on my '84 Jeep though, and it was on a early Eagle I looked at a couple of years ago..

They were still better to break down in.. If you break down in a Pacer, Everyone can see you.
