1972 Dodge Dart - $34,500 - Plainview, NY - This fully restored 1972 Dodge Dart Demon has its matching numbers 340ci high performance engine. The Demon has had a repaint in its original color and is absolutely beautiful. The quality of the repaint is amazing. The body is pin straight over a 100% rust free body. Chrome and trim are completely original and nearly flawless. The interior looks like new and is mostly original. We believe that only the door cards have been changed but cant be sure. Demon 340ci Fastback Coupes were performance cars and had limited options available. This car came with a center console, bucket seats, power steering and an AM radio. The radio is not currently working.
The engine is beautifully detailed. It runs beautifully and stops as it should.
This Dart Demon Fastback Coupe came with the optional 340ci high performance engine which put out a very respectable 275hp for the time. Most other car companies had already begun to cut back on performance and horsepower due to new regulations and higher gas prices. Dodge held out for another year and kept the Demon strong. Weighing in at a mere 3100lbs, this car could move, especially off the line. This sporty 340ci Demon came decked out with bodyside tape stripes, matte-black hood with dual non-functioning hood scoops and wide tires on special Rally wheels as part of a specially beefed-up chassis.
Only 8750 Dart Demon 340ci Fastback Coupes were produced in '72 making this a rarely seen car today. Im sure that a very limited few can boast an original matching numbers engine that this one has. Fewer still are in this condition. This car needs absolutely nothing. It is ready for any road trip, short or long.
