1972 Dodge Charger - $28,900 - Ortonville, MI - This is a gorgeous 72 Charger just has under gone complete restoration painted factory Blue Streak Blue base coat clear coat wet sanded and wheeled smooth as glass straight as an arrow, re-chromed bumpers, all window stainless in excellent shape, new wheel well trim, new window felts & weather stripping, retains all original factory tinted glass in excellent shape, factory chin spoiler, factory race sport mirrors, factory wing, concealed headlights that work correctly.
Has all new factory black bucket seat console interior, factory rally dash with AM/FM radio, factory sport wheel, new door panels, new headliner, new seat covers, new carpet and new sill plates.
Drive tran was rebuilt car was originally 340 4 barrel, has been updated to a 340 six pack, headers with 2 1/2 dual exhaust out the back with correct chrome tips, power steering, power disc brakes, 727 trans with manual valve body, 8 3/4 posi rear end.

Initially I though this looks like a pretty solid deal. It needs some love under the hood, for sure, but it's a genuine 340 car in a desirable color and all the tough stuff's done--with no major visible butchery. Visible gaffs include the "paint it black" grille finish, both spoilers, and the glossy hood blackout. The undercarriage could certainly be concealing some nastiness underneath all that coating, of course. But something just didn't look right. It took me a minute, but of course it hit me like a ton of bricks when it did. It's got '73/'74 fenders on it.

It's gonna cost some money to get the right fenders and have them sprayed to match the car, plus fix the other shit. Still, I could see this car going for near asking, but I'd max out ten grand less, partially because of the awfulmatic.
