I've seen this car for sale elsewhere. He started a year ago, maybe more, at $22,000. I'd seen it offered at one point as low as $16K, just about begging anyone that had shown interest in it to come and take a look at it. I'm thinking he either sold it to a dealer or he's trying consignment. Lots of "rattle can" solutions, cop-outs like the painted bumpers, etc. There are no pricy "restoration" parts on the car; wherever someone was expensive he went the less-expensive "hot rod" route. He claimed to have over $25K invested and I couldn't see it unless he was paying someone $80/hr or more to do it.

It's just not that nice a car.
