Helpful disclosure for below list: 1.) The original valve body in the transmission received a minor modification creating a manual valve body which I did not like. Manual valve body means whatever gear selected is the gear stayed in. You must bump shift. It gives great control of shifting but is not stock. On Feb 16, 2015 the valve body was reversed back to factory stock. Fresh transmission fluid and a new pan gasket. When you see this statement below trust it.. ** All original transmission** ... note: This car has fun factory stock born on car "slap stick" shifting in console which continues to allow gear selection, or choose fully automatic in "D" drive.
2.) The factory cam is out of the engine and in hand. It looks new showing no wear. When re-sealing this factory released engine I could kick myself for installing an exact replacement new old stock (n.o.s.) Mopar purple shaft six barrel cam with identical lift, grind, duration. Having the original cam in hand does hint at the like new condition of this factory released motor. A recent phone call with friend and first owner reminded me he bought this beast when 18 yrs old, not 19 yrs old like the magazine article says. I was 21 yrs old when the Cuda' arrived. He was a young hardware man and perfectionist. The hardware man orders in bulk. Five (5) six barrel paper air filters in original boxes come with car. Even the 15 year old air filter under the shaker looks great. Car averaged 42.5 miles a year the past 15 years. This is a ram air car by pulling the inside orange sticker 'carb air' knob towards you. Documents include (3) three purchase contracts.. I've never heard of this before? In ordering my friend reached out to New York from Santa Maria, Ca., excluding a dealership. Going around a dealership may be normal today but it was nearly unheard of in 1970. And when my friend ordered they asked ... Once built where you would like it shipped? First contract ordered a green car with green bumpers. Broker / New York Compu-store replied green bumpers weren't available. Second contract through the same broker ordered FE5 rallye red exterior with matching bumpers and some more added options. 12.) Broker ordered car yields exceptional history

All three contracts on separate letter heads specified a rallye dash completely missed by the factory in California. Were employees in California smoking rope? Realizing the factory goof Culver City Chrysler Plymouth in southern California installed the correct rallye dash at no charge before delivery, clearly noting free installation on contract. Compare this 440 six barrel shaker coupe to the Chrysler "promotional" 'Cuda back in the day. Where is that gorgeous promotional car with high profile Mopar drivers at both sides of the car? The promotional Plymouth was FE5 red, over head console, one piece head liner; both red bumpers. The list continues... check, check, check as my Plymouth and the factory promotion Plymouth look the same. Estimate 13.6 quarter miles at 103 mph on narrow poly glass tires. Between traffic lights the car is amazing. This stock 1970 440-6 might slip into the 12's with gears, slicks and ace driver. 19.) 45 years later this Mopar is impressive
In 1970 the 440-6 and hemi cars advertised factory 490 ft lbs torque. 440-6 made the torque 300 to 600 rpm sooner then hemi depending on what source you believe? Early torque put the six barrel out front between traffic lights. Yes, six barrel was faster between lights. Mopars at their best. 20.) This high performance (hp) 440-6 engine is a beast
Factory originals have nearly vanished. Coming $$ dollar value wasn't imagined so love of car included straying from stock and beating on your car. Starting out on Valvoline motor oil in 1970 its been Valvoline 45 years later... Occasionally "cam guard" a product resisting acid formation in oil during storage. 22.) Valvoline brand oil life of engine.
