1969 Plymouth Road Runner - $34,900 - Stanley, NC - Road Runner RM21H9A132144, Num. Matching 330HP 383, 727 A/T, 3.23 Sure-Grip, Original Sheet Metal, Well documented, Private Sale, Very Very Clean. Floor pans and trunk pans are original and extremely clean. I’ve priced this car at $35,000 because to the penny that’s exactly what I have in it. It is worth $40,000+ as is. Some dealers are selling them in similar condition to mine for $45,000. This car is turn-key, is very fast, and has all the solid original hardware any MOPAR enthusiast like myself covets. It is a step above driver and step below concourse so you can enjoy this car. Over 200 photos on Flickr:

Fender Tag, Part and Body Stampings, and VIN Code (RM21H9A132144) read as follows (I have pictures to support):
- True RM21 Car – RM21 documented on fender tag, RM21H9A132144 on dash vin plate w/ original Chrysler rivets as well as on clear NC title, RM21H9A132144 on original 383 engine stamping pad.
- Partial Vin 132144 Stampings – Radiator core support stamped 132144 as well as rear trunk weatherstrip stamped 132144 matching VIN
- Scheduled Production Date 9/24/1969 coincides closely with engine production date of 10/10/1969 on 2nd shift for an E383 engine (E denoting a 1969 only engine) as is usual for number matching cars. My car was likely produced some time in October 1969 as the SPD is usually not the actual production date.
- Engine casting is 2468130-7, matches to a 383 from 1959-71, Block also confirms 2nd shift day production with a casting date of 6/19/68 so this was a seasoned block.
- Fender tag reads as follows:
- RM21 – RoadRunner B-Pillar Coupe
- E63 – 383 330 HP
- D32 – Heavy duty auto transmission
- 924 – September 24 scheduled production date
- R6 R6 – Scorch red top/bottom (current color is HEMI Orange so this has been changed)
- M6X – Medium level, black interior, bucket seats
- X9 – Black interior door frames
- 1X – Vinyl top
- 7X – Accent Stripe
- 26 – 26” Radiator
- 899 – 383 4-Barrel, A/T, w/ A/C 330HP, Turquoise Color (currently orange). All A/C duct work is in place along with dash vents but original A/C was removed at some time in its life.
- 595 – 3.23 Sure-Grip, Front and Rear Drum Brakes. “742” 8.75” Carrier fitted with a 3.23 tab on passenger side cover stamped 2070742 still original to the car.
- 091 – 727 Heavy duty automatic transmission. Original transmission was replaced with a 3/23/1969 Heavy duty 727 fitted for a 69 383 4 Barrel 330HP but with partial VIN stamp 9F238306 not matching the original 132144.
- Gorgeous PPG basecoat/clear coat in HEMI Orange (not the original per fender tag) and black striping. Beautiful vinyl top.
- Brand new mag wheels and tires (wheels still have the stickers on the hub)
- Top end of motor shows evidence of very recent rebuild with bigger cam, new lifters, new rocker arms and springs (I do not have cam specs) as well as new Powermaster Alternator, and high volume oil pan/pump.
- Full Billet MSD kit with 6AL box, distributor, wires, and coil
- Edelbrock high rise intake and 850 CFM Edelbrock carburetor
- Hedman Headers with new 3” pipes connecting to dual Flowmasters
- Power Steering
- While dash and seats are original, carpet and headliner were replaced at some time. If keeping I would add new door panels and arm rests to make perfect
- Transmission was fitted with new finned aluminum pan
- Front suspension has all new rubber cups, ball joints, and bushings. KYB gas-adjust shocks all the way around. 4 Wheel Drum Brakes are in good working order along with dual master cylinder.
