1964 Dodge Polara - Auction - Carlisle, PA - Offered is this very rare, 1964 Polara 500 with the optional 426 Max Wedge engine. Of the 153 64 Max Wedge Dodge's built, only 5 were Polara 500 2 door hardtops. Of these, this vehicle is the only one known to still exist as per Galen Govier. This car is a factory drag racer & made famous in the Jan & Dean song "Little Old Lady From Pasadena". The Polara 500 was the top of the line Dodge in 1964 and this vehicle is well equipped with bucket seats, console, am-fm with reverb & clock. This vehicle also features the extremely rare TRI-Y exhaust & is the only factory Max Wedge known to have them installed. This car has been looked at & authenticated by Galen Govier. It has been awarded Senior status by the AACA & was featured in Mopar Action magazine.

The HemiCuda convertible of its day. Maximum available power with a bunch of somewhat nonsensical options. Pretty damned cool.
