I just passed up on an opportunity to buy a '64 Daytona coupe, 289/4-speed. It was an excellent unrestored example, but needed some love. It had belonged to a friend of mine's Dad, and he passed last year. I was offered a "otherwise it's going to auction" price. I should've gone to the auction. :D

There's no money involved in these cars. This seller will have his wagon for a very, very long time. His asking is more than $21,500 higher than that more-desirable coupe, in the better-looking '64 variety, brought at auction... and $20,500 more than the offer I declined.
