1961 Plymouth Valiant - $11,900 - Lynchburg, VA - 1961 PLYMOUTH VALIENT 2 Door Coupe. Perhaps one of the more forgotten models from the sixties. This is a very scarce model. This particular example has the three speed manual with floor shift. It is also equipped with full fender skirts which we believe were fitted early on and likely produced by CAL CUSTOM. Although dull, the paint is original. The odometer reads less then 20,000 and after careful examination (and driving it) I believe this may well be it actual mileage from new. The iconic "Slant Six" is whisper quiet and performs wonderfully. It has plenty of power and the car handles excellent. It is an untouched original car that could be just preserved and enjoyed as it or it has lots of potential for the person that happens to have a good 340 CI motor and four speed transmission laying around. This has great "Rocket Age" design style!
Stored in Lynchburg, VA.

Yup, it makes you think it's a four door, but disappoints you when it's time to put the groceries in

To keep production cost down they used the same front doors whether it was a 2-door or 4-door. It sure did emphasise the huge roofline.

The gray color only helps to make it look more frumpy. :(

First to go is the skirts, then the spinners, put them back on a '56 Lancer. :naughty:
