This car has the rare D-500 performance option. This was one of the very first of the "muscle cars" which were often used as Highway Patrol pursuit cars. The D-500 package consisted of a 260 bhp "Hemi" engine with solid valve lifters and a performance cam, heavy duty Chrysler N.Y. steering, suspension, springs, shocks, sway-bar and center-plane brakes with 30% more lining than standard Dodges. The car sits 1.5 ins . lower than standard Dodges of this year. The exterior is excellent and the interior is largely original except for the front seat cover and front carpet which are the original material from SMS.This car drives beautifully.

All "true" Custom Royals from the 50's came in 3-tone and with a Hemi. If this were a 2-door he could raise his asking even higher.
