1953 Dodge B4B - Auction - Owls Head, ME - This 1953 Dodge pickup, # 8236055, was in exceptionally good condition with less than 28,000 original miles on odometer when it was purchased by the current owner. The work performed by the current owner includes new spark plugs, spark plug and coil wires, distributor cap, rotor, points, condenser, coil, distributor rebuilt, carburetor rebuilt, new muffler, new brake shoes, master and brake cylinders rebuilt, new brake springs replaced as necessary, new brake fluid new battery, new wiring which was wired as original with one expansion line with modern copper wire and connectors. The truck bed was rebuilt with new oak polyurethane protected boards with polished stainless steel straps and hardware, polyurethane wood stakes and rail. The upholstery on the seat, seat back, and door panels is new. It was done in the original color and style on original spring platforms and frames with foam replacing the original hair. All of the fluids have been changed, bearings and grease points have been lubricated, including the transmission and the rear end. Minor rust areas were repaired with lead and/or steel plate. The frame, which was still in excellent shape with factory paint still on it, was cleaned up. The bed was removed and rebuilt with new oak flooring. Quality urethane paint was used to repaint the truck to as close to the original green, black, yellow colors as possible.The owner rates the following on a scale of Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, Excellent.
