1948 Studebaker M15A - Auction - Raleigh, NC - To be OFFERED AT AUCTION at our Winter Raleigh Classic Event December 4th-5th 2015 - This fine Studebaker M15 is a nice truck that has a special purpose and with its hauling capabilities it could be just the right truck for heavy loads or even towing duty and this is one heavy duty truck that presents well and is still in good order. It is a rugged M15 that is on the heavy-duty side as evidenced by its 1.5 ton platform and dual rear tires. The M15 could be ordered from the factory as a cab only but this one is fitted with a rack body that is just perfect for parades. The rims are color keyed and just the right amount of chrome. It is powered by its 169 cubic inch Champion inline six cylinder engine rated at 80 horsepower. This nicely restored Studebaker M15 also has a 4 speed transmission. For that unique vehicle in your collection this Studebaker is certain to be a big hit wherever it goes.

Heavy loads or towing duty? Maybe if your some kind of masochist. I'm sure 80HP was plenty when life moved at a slower pace and traffic more slowly yet, but trying to make that truck work and pay in 2015? Don't be stupid. It's a parade relic and nothing more.
