1942 Willys Jeep

I cannot fathom why someone would want one of these. I understand the reasons, sure, but I cannot fathom how those reasons are actually reasonable. One of my best friends had the HemiCuda convertible of Jeeps, a '41 slat-grille, and sold it prior to finishing the restoration on it because it was a completely useless vehicle.

on the "early" ones like this..the mil spec buffs...

but otherwise yeah that low its useless...a JEEP needs to be able to get into teh woods DEEP into them..and enuf power to fling mud or climb nasty stuff

Well, the early ones were some of the most capable Jeeps ever built but that was due to their extremely light weight and gearing that's borderline perverted. You can nearly climb a tree if you like, but 50MPH is essentially out of the question with the original engine and 5.38(?) gears.

yeah ..,.but they also do not articulate well either.......dont get me wrong they are very cabable..but in a tractor sense....put some lift on it with good shocks a about 300hp or so and some flexy springs and youve got something

....build this, modify that, change these.................why not just buy something that's better suited to what you want?

cause you cant buy a soul and purpose built toys...unless your buying someone elses creation..and likely still modding it...youve gotta start raw find something right and give it the charactr it needs
