1940 Plymouth Deluxe - $32,900 - North Bethesda, MD - Beautifully restored example of the classic P-10 Plymouth convertible coupe. Local car that had body off restoration done about 10 year ago but only driven little over 2500 since and always garaged. Excellent body fit and finish with correct Charlotte Ivory paint that shows really well. No rust anywhere and all chrome and glass are very good as well. Interior is all new with very high quality thru out and perfect vacuum power, canvas top that works quite well. Dash is great with all gauges working well and trim real nice. Still has original L head, straight six engine that runs amazingly smooth and quiet. Three speed gearbox also functions very smoothly with clutch, brakes and suspension combining for a truly magnificent ride on a car this age. Car was equipped with Chrysler overdrive system from that era as it was not available on the 40 Plymouth. This makes the car a real pleasant cruiser on the freeway with the one extra gear. Both engine and trunk compartments are nicely detailed with factory spare and jack kit there. Also comes with many spare parts such as new heater in the box, headlight, voltage regulator etc. Has excellent service and restoration history plus lots of parts and shop manuals. Underneath is very nice with pictures available upon request. Overall a truly well sorted out car that is ready for show and lots of fun motoring.Link to ad on Hemmings.com
I'll bet that the back seat is uncomfortable as hell though.
