1939 Dodge - Auction - Owls Head, ME - Offered for sale at No Reserve is this wonderfully restored 1939 Dodge 2 ton truck, serial # 8449327. A frame off restoration was completed in 1999 for the 60th anniversary of The Oliver Stores in Maine. This truck has been used yearly for parades, displays and shows. Originally this Dodge was a Coca Cola delivery truck that was later on used as a farm truck for many year. The rare 228 c.i. six cylinder was completely rebuilt which included block re-boring, new pistons, turned crankshaft to -.10 with new bearings, new valves and seats, alignment boring for replacement of the main bearing cap, new internal water distribution tube, block and head resurfacing, carburator rebuild and a new water pump. A new fuel pump was added and the starter and generator were rebuilt. The running gear and rest of the chassis was rebuilt to the same quality standards as the engine.
