$100.00 well spent?

Stretch

Hey! There’s no easy button for a body like this!
Look what one can buy for about $100.00!

Yep she’s a Shelby z turbo II car! It needs a clutch and a rear brake caliper. That’s about it.

Yep. I plan to drive the hell oot of it. Once I get a clutch kit and a left rear caliper for it. The trany is out. All I need to do is pick up the parts and reassemble it. The odometer says there is 51000 miles on it and it runs like that is true. The only rust I have found is in the trunk where some dipshit stored a battery. There are only a few small holes from that and the trunk carpet is shot from that too.

That's always handy  I wish I could score vehicles like that around here. Sounds like it'll be a fun ride once back together. I'm assuming it's a 5-speed?

:shifty: Got a complete clutch setup and a spare 5spd layin' 'round here.

I got parts for that mitsu-mishap, trannies dont last long with a sportin right foot but they DO move. As long as you run a narrower hard compound tire that will light instead of hook the output case support will live for a while. Inquiring minds wanna know what the dirty deed was to make THIS happen. Im impressed.:dave:

Cool! I've been eye-balling cars like that around here - not at that price though - and I'm really not sure why. I don't need a car and my money would be better spent on parts for the Charger, but hell, they just look like fun!

With the price of gas jumping from $2.79 a gallon this morning to $3.19 to night and a supposed $3.50 by tomorrow I had better get it together soon because I sure as hell cant afford to drive anything with more than 4 cylinders. So much for enjoying the charger for the rest of this year.

Nothing Mitsubishi in that one... all 100% American Mopar, right down the Detroit-bred, Trenton-built 2.2L. Might be a Getrag-designed trans (still made by Ma), but I thought those came later; I'm not sure.
