Last week, Norman Layton, founder of Sweptline Products (for modifying Power Wagons and Jeeps) and former NASCAR pit crewman, died of an unexpected heart attack at the age of 65. He was still active at the time and was working on repairs to a custom-made racing vehicle for Team 4540.
His daughter, Jillian, wrote that services for “MoparNorm,” as he was known to readers of both Allpar and the Chrysler blog, are being held on July 1, at 2 pm, at the Bethany of Montclair Church, 9950 Monte Vista Ave, Montclair, California 91763.
In honor of MoparNorm, the Allpar forums will have a brief moment of silence on July 1 at 4:00 pm Eastern time, representing the 4.0 liter engine in the Jeeps close to his heart. (...) →
