I have those plates for my valiant. I also have v8 bars for that car. I did not replace the bars in this car. I have no plans to add the plates to this car either. This car is nothing more than basic daily transportation. It absolutely needed the sway bar but it will never see any hard driving.

A lot heavier than I expected! 1/4" I bet. I didn't measure them but I definitely was pleased with that very thing. The bolt that attaches them to the arm is a 1/2" grade 8 bolt.

I returned the carb to Clete this morning. He didn't think it was the same carburetor. He said he was going home to put it on. He stopped at the shop after lunch and said it fired right up and is purring like a kitten. Now he can't wait to take it for a test drive.

Noticeable progress! Hopefully the interior will be all done by the end of Saturday. After that it's control arm bushing replacement time.

Some mid week progress

I got a bit more done this evening. I absolutely hated the shitty job the previous owner did installing the aftermarket radio. It looked so sloppy just bolted to the under dash AC vent. Not only did it look shit, there was no way to hide the wiring. I cut the dash and put it where it belongs.

The assembly goo is awesome! Much better than the wheel bearing grease I've used in the past. You don't spay your equipment? :D
