    1 out of every 3 67/9 abodys ive done front end rebuilds on has hung up 1 bar at random and had to be smackked in with a hammer..i assumed that was normal....as ive seen previous hammer marks on cars that had never been apart hell even my alfas require a bit of hammering and its a VERY similar...

    and exactly why i SWEAR by chains mosre specificaly a full "wrap" thru the k member...ive seen some straps break...and too many stock mounts rip..worst was a buddys 67 fish which in turn locked the throttle right where it was at....passenger side mounts are ALWAYS in good shape they sit there...

    FWIW my goto paint shop is "industrial finishes" and has been for a while now..tho which store i use has switched due to the good one close closed...so i litteraly drive over an hour to the other side of town instead of the one 15 mins away...thing is....therees a couple of SERIOUSLY old school...

    oof...do yourself a favor..pull out a small size philips driver uh #1? and start doing an impression of a child poking at you to get your attention and run around ALL the drip rails and see if anything else reveals itself..i fear theres more thin hiding spots that the wheel just didnt...

    ok..dumb question time..what makes these fenders better than say..74 fenders? and would it be something more easily graft/transfered over? i too am not afraid of working over mangled steel or rusted beyond saving..but i thought you had some better fenders?

    i was under the impression you were trying desperatly to not paint it and keep the patina ...i fucking hate that word tho.....honestly id just re-shoot the whole thing and call it a day...whites not flashy or special i dig the pinstripes especialy the matching ones down the hood..no seriously...

    the ONLY reason i didne mention heating the rail is i know your trying to preserve paint..."if" your going to heat it heat it from the BOTTOM..IE where the door glass seal side of things as htis helps break the glue free its how i do it on trucks and fish...even some non mopars...you can put...

    funny one, but its worked well for me.... find a nice fitting flat head screwdriver something that fits nice and snug between the rail and the top, run it under a torch and slip n slice it out go till it starts to slow down and then re-heat the driver...it doesn need to be red hot just hot...

    those fenders dont look all that bad all things considered me im a sucker for the 73/4 grill combined with the rt hood, while i feel the early grill always jived better with the shaker or the TA scoop due to the way the lines flow...i know its silly but something about the late grill just flows...
