    What are you working on?

Looking good 69! I built this wood shed a last year, 10'x10', out of recycled and scavenged lumber and hardware...other than one piece of tin for the roof, a couple brackets and some screws and washers. Think it costs me about a $100 for everything.

    Get Smart!

I wouldn't even be able to look at the cock pit on that without my legs and knees getting bruised and sore.... 😬😄

    Jester's Progress...

😄....I was thinking just that as well. If it worked out maybe I could grab a 76-78 front grill, lower valance and stuff that you've talked about for Patches at the same time. ;) I have a 318 and a 360 in each of my parts 84/85 Ramchargers, I need to try and get them both running first, but...

A12 - time to get busy

Thanks Doc...I assumed 727 and 904 were different...good to know the the PTKD is the same. Once I start driving the coronet again I'll be able to see if I had PTKD in it or not...can't recall now. But I have a couple spare valve bodies in my parts trucks so if it doesn't I now know I can...

I do not know for sure but is the valve body from a 727 the same regardless of small block vs big block? Can you pick up another VB from a known unmodified transmission?

    Jester's Progress...

If you do go with a magnum motor look at the 5.2 over the 5.9. Everyone I've know who had a 5.9 had problems with the heads failing, or other top end/exhaust problems. Those with the 5.2 had no issues. I agree with Doc about using your time now with the Dart and your Daughter, we used to do...

I know when I was looking for the 3 piece set-up for the wagon I had a hard time finding one for a decent price...even the 413 set-up I got was way more then I felt it should be worth, but was still cheaper than the correct OEM or repro stuff....and that was 12 years ago now.

The later single rod kick down set-up won't work on your Bee....the firewall shape is wrong and it will hit. But I do know the kick down linkage from a 413 will work...I have that on my 68 T/C wagon now. Ben Snobar...man I haven't heard that name in a lot of years! I used to drive down to...

    Inexpensive '70 Super Bee

What was the buy-in price Doc? Add has been taken down.

    someone come get it

That is a pretty cool car...looks like it might have been some sort of silver? But the slanty with a column shifted 3 speed is amazing...I love it!

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

So I don't have any more pics of the car once it got blasted and then all the metal, bodywork and paint done because I'd purchased a VHS camcorder so I was using that to record everything. I thought I had sent all the tapes I had to Wally when I sold the car, and we looked and hunted for them...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

During this time I was hunting down parts and came across a 1968 Coronet 440, 4dr 383/2V car in the wreckers. It had suffered a bulkhead and electrical fire so I was able to buy the complete car for $200 and another $25 for them to deliver it to my house! Car was completely rust free, but...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

Then the disassembly began.... Rusty conv top header...both sides were about the same.... Floor didn't look to bad... Poor rad support... Bad pics but the drivers side entire quarter was very poorly replaced from a donor car....held with rivets, screws, brazed wires and nails, and...

If you are pulling the dash for the body work look at the yoke for the steering column for original paint. They usually got sprayed during the painting at the factory and since that area is up under the dash the paint usually survives pretty much intact. That is where I matched the SS1 paint...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

So here is the excited and happy 19 year old owner of this cool old 4spd convertible! And pics the day it got home... It had 69 fenders that were converted to 68's, and it had been in a couple accidents as you can see the rad support was cut out and mostly missing...no numbers...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

Well after seeing the convertible I decided that this would be a way cooler car then my Charger so the charger went up for sale and I bought the coronet. I made the purchase of the car Aug 21/1993 and paid $3K for it...yeah it was probably way to much but was young and had big dreams! Can't...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

So I knew about a 69 Charger sitting in a barn out in the country side so I made a trip out and was able to buy it for $2K. Pic from when he rolled it out of the barn... I had to take the car without the rims or I wouldn't have been able to afford it. ;) It was a 1969 Charger, with a...

    My 1968 Coronet 500 Convertible story...Past...Present...Future...

Well time to get started on the history of my car, I'll be going back a couple years and explain how I ended up with the coronet. So it was around 1990 and I had just got my driver license and my brother was working a Ford Dealership called William Clark Ford. I was looking to buy an old car...
