From what little bit I've learned, "electric igniters" are on all newer gas furnaces. The gas shutoff will not "open" until the igniter reaches a certain temp. Theoretically the conversion should be able to do. But it would mean replacing all 3, (compatible) components together.
I do know that the 68-70 B & C wiper motors will interchange by swapping the arms and re-clocking the contact plate by rotating it accordingly. The 3 screws and the markings by them tell you where it should be. I used to know the orientation, but it was wisdom that I preferred to forget.
Yup
Pretty much every tire manufacturer still have them available. But they'll need to be special ordered. And there's always Coker tires, Coker Classic Tires | Classic White Wall Tires | Coker Tire® , for a lot more $$$$
I've had cars, (and bikes) with both hydraulic & mechanical actuation clutches. The ONLY advantage that comes to mind is a hydraulic perpetually adjusts itself at each usage. (How often do you need to adjust your clutch?)
On motorcycles hydraulics are a Godsend vs cable. Cables tend to come...
The reasons why I've learned to save the oil pan install 'til after the timing cover & harmonic balancer. An old trick you may consider is to stuff some clothes line type rope through a spark plug hole. Don't forget to reverse the engine to remove it.🤔

"Those pieces on the rail sure look factory, there's a bolt hole & a positioning tab & corresponding holes in the rail?"
Those are for "B" bodies with dual exhaust, Coronet R/T's, Roadrunners, GTX's, Chargers. They were used with these type of tips. (Of which I have 2 cars)
Do you think you'll be able to reach up there and peal off tape after it's gooped down? 😆
Most windshields are installed using a butyl rope,...no mess.
A long time friend, now passed, that ran an upholstery business, had a saying: "The dissatisfaction of poor workmanship far outlives the discomfort of high costs".
