    What are you working on?

My goal was to paint and then set the engine in the frame by the end of the weekend. I achieved that goal. It's Yuengling time!

    What are you working on?

1913 Maxwell. Engine and transmission rebuild. I took it apart about a year ago. My buddy sent it off to have the bearings re babbitted, new pistons and valves had to be made and one of the jugs was cracked requiring some welding. The engine block and transmission are one aluminum casting...

    65 Valiant build

I've made a bit of progress since I last updated this thread. I found enough time to weld the right inner fender to the 3" filler panel. I still have some finish work to do there. I also fit that tub and made the bracket to attach the trunk lid/spring support bracket to the wider tub. I...

    Afternoon project

A buddy of mine gave me this old Dodge grill shell and planted the seed for this little project. Now to sort through the antique car parts floating around here from the 3 Oaklands, the '33 Pontiac, the Maxwell, the Cord, and the '03 Olds.

    Nice surprise

I have been logging my fuel milage on every fill up on the Dart. Each repair had slightly improved the fuel economy on my daily commute with the best improvement from the wheel alignment. I knew it was toed in but 5/8"???? 😀 The 2nd biggest improvement was after the valve lash adjustment...

    Much better!

Jass planted the seed for this right after I bought the ol' girl. He said "If you paint the wheels body color I will give you a set of hub caps." I responded with " Damn it!" 😀 Then he found a set of small bolt 14 x5 1/2 wheels on Craigs list for the grand total of $50.00 and the guy...

    1973 Roadrunner

Cool car and story. I like the window sticker. The "Extra care in Engineering. It makes a difference......" provided a good chuckle for me. My untouched '73 Dodge Dart has a factory installed Plymouth steering wheel. 😀

    My wife did what?

Carb is assembled and installed. Bearings pressed and axles installed. Just need to find the loose chassis parts in the right front and waiting for the registration to show up in the mail.

    My wife did what?

Well I have more work to do. Something is loose in the right front suspension. I can feel the wheel move when I apply the brakes. I pulled the rear axles after work tonight so I can replace the rear wheel bearings. I also pulled the carb so I can rebuild it. I brought the carb and axles...
