    What are you working on?

Air pressure changes always get me, fast or gradual. Sometimes they develop into migraines, most times they don't. Lately though, I've had some massive stay-in-bed-with-the-lights-off migraines brought on by muscle weakness in my back and neck. Those are killers! Ocular migraines are a new one...

    What are you working on?

Lol! I've only got two roll cabinets and a top chest with two side cabinets, but like you, doubles, triples, and extras in every box. And I've downsized since I retired. Plus the six drawer cabinet in my basement. A buddy bought a really nice service cart from HF last year and I've been...

    Right idea, wrong price

    I like it.

    Just imagine

I watched a youtube vid of Jimmi Johnson manhandling a '63 Galaxie around a road course a few weeks ago. Not sure if it was a SOHC car or not, but it sure looked like Jimmi was having a blast.

    Just imagine

Yup! Or in the same car, but on a nice road course instead of 'Dega.

    One of my favorite colors

I've always liked the bullet-nosed 'Birds, and the '64/'65 models. The maroon does look good.

    What are you working on?

How beefy are the control arm brackets for the sway bar? I added a factory bar to my '75 Dart Sport way back when. It made a big difference in hilly-and-twisty-road Cape Breton.

    A fun looking Ford

My favourite kind of muscle: the go-fast bare-bones machines. There's a very nice goldish-coloured '70 Falcon around here, a 351C car. I lust after that thing every time I see it.

    A fun looking Ford

There was a very nice 429 CJ Torino around here in the early 90s. Yellow, auto, looked to be pretty much original. Supposedly, it was a quick machine, but no one seems to really know what happened to it.

    Used squad cars

Personally, I liked the big Vics. But, after working in a few shops where rear-ended Vic wrecks came in, I'd not want to be in one when it got nailed. But, then again, I own a Beetle so... ;)

    Used squad cars

One of the big reason why the CV was dropped was that it was built in the very antiquated St Thomas assembly plant, just outside of London , Ontario. About an hour from here. An old plant, a dinosaur chassis, new anticipated direction of HD service requirements, and a Chrysler Pursuit package...

    Used squad cars

A very good friend is the safety guru at out local city works garage. They do all the mechanical work on city vehicles, including po-po units. Al reviews all purchasing options in regards to safety and security, so he gets a good look at the entire package, reviews, pricing, maintainance...

Rusty's not very quiet cuda progress

Yup. Much like beating your head against a wall, it's better when you stop. OEM plastic isn't friendly stuff. Very little UV stability, never intended to last more than 5 years (unless its higher-end Euro stuff), and "dirty" as all get-out, IF you can determine what type of plastic it is... It...

You might also consider some type of adhesion promoter before priming.

Add some plasticizer (flex additive) to the primer if you want the job to last more than a year or so. Add it to the paint, as well.

That's just how vintage plastic without UV stabilizers end up. It can be a nightmare. Good luck. :)

I had a '75 Malibu that didn't have a keyed glove box lock. I bought a Monte for parts that had swivel seats, console, and tilt column, and when I swapped all the parts over, I found I couldn't get the glove box knob out of the Malibu to swap it over.
