    More tire abuse...

Our small town decided to host a car show with a burnout contest, of course I couldn't resist. Though out of 75+ cars in the show, only about 7 of us entered the contest. Heck, there were race cars and trucks, a pro-street car, cars with blowers...but none of those guys lined up. Strange.:huh...

I made my first batch of salsa.......

I do lots of canning every year but I'm always proud to see those first jars lined up on the counter top. For this batch I used fresh tomatoes and green peppers from the garden, lots of onion and garlic, and I dumped in a jar of jalapeno/habanero peppers from last year so it is nice and hot...

    1987 Dakota Drag Truck Project....

Okay, I feel I must share progress of my truck. The beginning, February 2006. We drove by a run down used car dealership on the shady side of town and saw it, a rusty and crusty Dakota. Clear title, 4 cylinder 5 speed, pretty much complete except for a few pieces in the front. We...

    My stupid husband Pigpen....

testing out his new homemade fenderwell exit headers and ruining the garage floor with MY truck. Lessons learned: open headers are loud, slicks will peel up cement, and the tire smoke doesn't dissipate worth a shit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lgrRbSE1oc

    Duster vs. LS1 TransAm....

So we take my car to a test and tune and I raced it once, it bogged at the line. We checked it over and didn't see anything amiss, so husband decided to give it a run to check it out for himself. Met a guy in the staging lanes with a TransAm, said he was there to tune his freshly rebuilt LS1...

    Chrysler museum car show pics....

There was a huge Mopar car show at the WPC museum in Auburn Hills, MI and we took our Dart and Duster. Had a blast! We each got an awesome goody bag, with a T-shirt, cool Mopar hat, large metal model cars, Chrysler manuals like the Chassis book and a Hemi engine book, even a couple Direct...

No more chrome under the hood of my Duster...

The chrome air cleaner on my Duster was one of those things that I wanted to change, but never did...until yesterday. We had an old air cleaner under the workbench that had been on my husband's Challenger a long time ago. It just needed a repaint, so we cleaned it up and painted it last night...

I caught my husband smoking in my car!!

Yes, that is my husband pigpen warming the hides a bit at Milan Dragway. We took turns running it and the track photographer got a couple cool shots. Another: We installed sub-frame connectors last winter and the car launches straight as an arrow now, no body twist at all. Here's a pic of...

Hee hee, got some M/T street ET drag radials....

My husband loves me. :) These showed up yesterday for my Duster...mounted on 15X8 Rallye rims. I couldn't believe they would actually fit when I saw them, but lo and behold they did. Wow, they look cool. :giggedy: Hope they will help the huge traction issue I had at the track last year...

Made our own frame connectors for the Duster...

In between bouts of children barfing this week (bad stomach flu :( ) husband and I managed to weld in a set of frame connectors. We decided to make them ourselves, with 2X2 by 1/8 inch steel tube. We did NOT cut into the frame rails or the floor pans, so these *could* be removed in the future...
