A12 - time to get busy

That's nuts, but at least they were small items, shippings gone nuts in the last few years, I buy & sell a lot of model trains,
I was shipping 20+ pounds of tools to Jass for 8 or 9 bucks, now a 3lb box of trains is 13 or 14 for the same distance.

So a full bearing set for 73 & just the seals for 66, I wonder who's a bit greedy!
It's even better - 73 was the model year. The bearing set was $30 something. $66 for a wheel bearing seal is madness.

I just bought 4 front wheel seals for .69 each, with $6.99 shipping.

I finally got around to cleaning up the bearings I thought were good. They are not. There's rust or something on some of the rollers.

Now I'm thinking I could end up replacing the axle bearings. Fun times.

FWIW bearings are cheaper at AutoZone than Rockauto. I noticed they were showing "same-day pickup not available", meaning I got the last two at this local store.

Bearing PNs are LM67048 or Set6 for the inner and LM11949 or Set 2 for the outer.

I'll not change the races. I didn't notice anything wrong there when I cleaned them, and there are non-zero odds that if I knock them out I'll never get them back in right.

I think I mentioned I found a pair of free 11x2.5" backing plates from a truck. I picked those up yesterday, and one of them might be too rusty to use. It's at the top of it so it might have laid upside down in a puddle for years LOL. The other one should be fine.

Either way, I finally ran out of nozzles for my harbor freight blast cabinet so I had to update it to TP Tools parts. Skat Blast® USA Cabinet Gun & Pickup Tube Upgrade Kit

I'm going to try to save that rusty plate if I can.

I stripped those backing plates down and I don't know what the actual size of the bolts for the wheel cylinders are, but I do know I've got three of them broken off and stuck in three different 3/8" sockets. :poop:
