Server upgrade soon.

Sometime in the next 48 hours, the server will be upgraded.

New OS.
New file system.
Some new core server software.

All in all, it means better performance, generally speaking.

The upgrade will happen in the wee hours, but I'm assuming that is PST. So, that could mean early morning for us on the east coast.

It should generally just happen. The server will be taken out of commission during the process.

I'm not doing the work this time. So I don't know exactly when it will happen.

Now we are.

Seems it took about two and a half hours.

I'll try to go through everything today and test things. It might take me a few days though due to other chit on the to-do list.

I've noticed a few things are a little snappier.

There may be some more work to do yet to leverage the new OS.
I'm waiting for the report.
